Why is it called Hearth?

A hearth is the heart of a home — the warm center where a family gathers. The name reflects the app's purpose: not a productivity tool, but a place that feels like home.

When will it be publicly available?

Hearth is currently in active beta with a small testing group. Follow the Whimsilogical Substack for release announcements.

Will it stay free?

The core app will be free. Pricing for any future premium features hasn't been decided yet.

Is my family's data private?

Yes. Hearth currently stores all data on your device in local storage — nothing is sent to a server. Future versions with cross-device sync will be opt-in.
