Are the apps free?

Yes — the apps are free to use. If one makes your day a little easier and you'd like to chip in, donations are warmly welcomed, but never expected. Use them freely, guilt-free.

Do I need an account? Is my data private?

No account needed. The apps store your information right on your own device, not on a server somewhere — so your data stays with you. There's nothing to log into and nothing being collected about you.

Because of that, your data lives in the browser you're using. Most apps include an export option so you can save a backup or move your information to another device.

Will there be more apps?

Yes — there's a whole suite in the works. You can see what's coming on the Apps page under "On the horizon," from a family organizer to a decision-fatigue helper to a pet health tracker.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Please do! Feedback genuinely shapes what gets built next. Email hellowhimsilogical@gmail.com with what you ran into or what you'd love to see.

What makes the apps neurodivergent-friendly?

Accessibility is the starting point here, not an afterthought. In practice that means zero-pressure design: no nagging, no guilt, no overwhelming walls of tasks. Finishing something feels satisfying, and not finishing is okay too.

Layouts are calm and uncluttered, with room to breathe and clear structure — built for brains that work in lots of different ways.

Is there a dark mode? Is it safe for photosensitivity?

Dark mode is the default across the suite. The design avoids harsh whites, sudden flashes, and jarring motion, with photosensitivity in mind throughout.

What does "spoonie-friendly" mean?

"Spoonie" is a term many people with chronic illness or limited energy use, from the idea of having a limited number of "spoons" of energy each day. Spoonie-friendly design respects that energy isn't unlimited: the apps are gentle on low-capacity days and never punish you for needing to rest.

Can I use these on my phone?

Yes. The apps work right in your phone's web browser — no app store required. They're built to feel at home on both phones and computers.

What's a PWA, and how do I install one?

PWA stands for "progressive web app" — a website that can be installed like an app, with its own icon on your home screen or desktop. No app store needed.

To install one, open the app in your browser and look for an "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" option — usually in the browser menu, or as a small icon in the address bar on a computer.

Do the apps work offline?

For the most part, yes — once an app has loaded, it keeps working without a connection, since your data lives on your device. Features that reach out to the internet are the exception, but the core experience is built to work offline.

Who's behind this?

Whimsilogical is a small, independent studio. The accessibility focus is lived rather than theoretical — these tools are built by someone who actually relies on the kind of design they're meant to provide.

The studio's sensibility draws on a wide background — culinary arts, music, photography, and technology — which shows up in the care given to how each app looks, feels, and flows. You can read more on the About page.

Why "Whimsilogical"?

It's the meeting of two things that don't usually share a sentence: whimsy and logic. Delightful and practical at once — software that's genuinely useful and a little bit joyful. The name even wears its colors, with "Whimsi" and "logical" in two different brand hues.
